But a 12 year old map seems a little obsolete and now I've got stuck! I think I've registered everywhere, scanned a lot of threads, read a lot of tutorials and I will soon be 73 years old. Fantastic! Since I'm not (at this stage) interested in all new and fancy features I'm satisfied with this upgrade. I had to make a reset (little hole on the back) and it all worked perfectly well. And lastly I moved the old Western Europe map back. Can't see the date of the map of Western Europe but there is a file (.pna) which contains this info in Notepad : ID=Western_Europe.pna 825045440 650 build=1047 id=38915 Is this version 825.xxxxxx - my guess! I managed to download a newer navcore 7.903 (navcore_7. extracted by IZarc), and used a 2Gb SD (formatted Fat32 in winXP) instead of the original 1 Gb SD, moved some files back (?) and ran FastActivate. I know this gps has not been upgraded since it was bought in june 2006. It has Navcore 6.110 and tt Home states that this device is no longer supported by tomtom (lifelong free update!).
I've never used a gps in my car and I thought I could give it a try. Hi Well I happened to come across an old TomTom Go 710 (2006).
